The Columbia 216510 Mens Ascender II Soft Shell Vest is the vest version of the Ascender II Soft Shell family, built from 100% polyester Nexgen Contour soft shell with a fleece bonded interior lining and Omni-Shield water and stain repellent treatment. The vest silhouette provides core warmth and the soft shell's wind and moisture resistance while leaving full arm freedom for work and outdoor activities where sleeve coverage would be restrictive.
Nexgen Contour soft shell is a stretch-enhanced soft shell fabric specification with comfort stretch built in, allowing the vest to flex with torso movement. The fleece bonded interior adds a soft, warm interior surface against whatever mid-layer is worn underneath. Wind- and water-resistant construction provides protection against light conditions.
A chin guard prevents zipper contact at the neck. Zippered chest and hand pockets provide organized storage. Extended zipper pulls add ease of use in cold conditions or with gloves. A drawcord adjustable hem allows cinching. Embroidered Columbia branding on the left chest provides brand identity. Woven label inside. Available in sizes S through 3X based on confirmed availability.
