The Columbia 208934 Mens Hikebound II Jacket is a fully waterproof, breathable rain jacket built from 100% polyester shell with a fine mesh 100% polyester lining and Omni-Tech waterproof/breathable fully seam-sealed construction. Omni-Tech is Columbia's standard waterproof/breathable system, which uses a laminated membrane that blocks liquid water from penetrating the shell while allowing water vapor (perspiration) to escape outward — the standard technical approach to performance rain jacket design in the outdoor industry.
Fully seam-sealed construction prevents moisture penetration at every seam line, ensuring complete protection in sustained rain rather than only in areas away from stitching. The fine mesh lining is specifically chosen to be lightweight and breathable rather than a heavier insulating lining, keeping the Hikebound II positioned as a true rain shell for active use in wet conditions rather than a cold-weather insulated jacket.
The Hikebound II is well suited to hiking, trail running, commuter, and general outdoor rain protection programs. Available in sizes S through 3X. Columbia products must be sold with embellishment and cannot be exported internationally.
