Insect Shield uses permethrin bonded permanently into the fabric to provide long-lasting, EPA-registered insect repellency that remains effective through 70 washes — adding a functional defense layer against mosquitoes, ticks, and biting insects beyond the sun protection the shirt already provides.
The nylon construction delivers quick-dry performance and durability appropriate for extended outdoor wear across hunting, fishing, hiking, and backcountry applications. A sun protection collar adds additional UV shielding at the neck. Mesh venting on the sleeve and back yoke provides passive airflow cooling in warm, active conditions, and a snap tab sleeve holder keeps converted-short-sleeve cuffs secured. Center front and cuff snap closure provides quick on and off.
