Flexfit invented the stretch-fit cap category. Elastic yarn woven into the sweatband allows the cap to conform to the head without a closure, producing the clean rear profile of a fitted cap with a usable size range. For brands where a snapback strap or plastic closure looks wrong, this is often the only acceptable option.

The important operational difference is sizing. Flexfit caps are ordered by head size, typically Small/Medium and Large/XL rather than one-size-fits-all. That means size distribution has to be estimated before a large run, and getting it wrong leaves unsellable stock. As a general starting point, most adult programmes weight toward L/XL, but confirm against your audience before committing volume.
